The Association represents the community of Flemington (including Travancore and Newmarket) in planning issues that impact across the community, such as parking, multi-storey developments and open space. The Association seeks to work with both councils and developers to achieve positive outcomes for our local community.

The current major the Association is concerned with is the VRC’s Flemington Life project where more than 1100 dwellings are proposed for the small pockets of lease-hold land that borders the MCC and MVCC councils.
At the State level the Association meets with our local MP – Danny Pearson Lower House Member for Essendon – on a month basis to address planning issues. These may include:

Flemington Association members have recently been involved in a range of other planning issues, including the proposed structure plans for Racecourse Road and Arden Macaulay, the proposed use of Crown Street Stables and transport issues, including traffic, parking, cycling and walking proposals.
